US Bishops want the US out of Iraqyadda yadda yadda
Sure... now they open their mouths. Iraq situation unacceptable: U.S. Catholic bishops A little late I would say. The same bishops urged the flock to vote against abortion (pro-Republican) in the last few elections, disregarding the greater threat to life as we know it- never-ending imperialistic wars. (just another reason why I am anti-Catholic and proud of it.) The Republicans only pay lip service to the anti-abortion crowd to get their votes.
Speaking of paying lip service to the base...
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Tuesday that Democrats won't approve more money for the Iraq war this year unless President Bush agrees to begin bringing troops home.
yeah yeah yeah. Nice sound bite. Prove it, weenie.
"The bill would require Bush to initiate troop withdrawals immediately with the goal of ending combat by December 2008."Let's see you stand up to Bush when he vetoes your bill and then we'll talk.
