A Short Lived Career is All The Rage In China

Ya know when you fly on Chinese Airlines how the flight attendants look alike? It was meant to be that way. In fact the screening process for the job is a beauty pageant more than anything else. A woman must be younger than 24, have great legs and be taller than average.

A Chinese airline's quality is judged on the beauty of the flight attendants. So much so that the recruitment is done on a tv show:
The show, funded in part by the airline, follows a six-month audition -- complete with swimsuit competition and a race involving luggage, makeup brushes and drink trays -- through several major Chinese cities. Thousands of young women lined up for the chance to compete for 180 openings.
You won't see any frumpy old experienced flight attendants when you fly to China.
