Demand Propaganda-Free News

When you watch TV commercials, they are required to be fair and not to mislead the consumers. There are all sorts of agencies out there who watch out for us consumers. After all, big corporations are in business to make money at any cost. They want to sell product and sometimes a tiny white lie makes all the difference in the world. When it comes to government, we used to have the media as the watchdog. Now that the media is the government's lap dog, our neighbors, family and friends are hoodwinked daily by fake news, misleading statements, a re-interpretation of history (as in "FDR wanted us to eventually privatize Social Security) and we are left here trying to arm ourselves with information to fight the lies and help those who have drunk of the Koolaid to come down from their "America is the greatest country in the world" high and face reality. It's not an easy job but someone has to do it.

How long will it take for all Americans to wake up and demand from their government what they demand from advertisers? George Bush has no intention of stopping his agencies from distributing propaganda. What will it take? Perhaps signing a petition over at Free Press might help? Give it a try. Couldn't hurt.
