It's About Time
by pissed off patricia

From what I'm hearing on Fox News, bush will be Time Magazine's Man of the Year. Figures. He has certainly been responsible for a lot of news. Like being responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent Iraqis and the deaths of about 1300 members of our military. Like draining our financial river until it has become a sand pit. Like lying to the world. Yep, that's making news, but not as much news as you would think and not the news you would hope.

The "Man of the Year" is not always a good man, he's a man in the news or who makes news and the news he makes determines the kind of man he is. When you list bush's good points against his bad points you quickly see why he is on the cover of Time. He is infamous, he is not famous.

You can read Time's story about Man of the Year 2004, here

This is why Time says bush was chosen.
"For sharpening the debate until the choices bled, for reframing reality to match his design, for gambling his fortunes—and ours—on his faith in the power of leadership, George W. Bush is TIME's 2004 Person of the Year."
Not exactly glowing terms, is it?
