Bin Laden Is Said to Be Organizing for a U.S. Attack
From The New York Times : "Osama bin Laden and his chief lieutenants, operating from hideouts suspected to be along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, are directing a Qaeda effort to launch an attack in the United States sometime this year, senior Bush administration officials said on Thursday."
uh oh. I thought we didn't care about these guys anymore because Iraq was a bigger threat.
On NBC's 'Today' show Ridge said al-Qaida wants "to do something during this time period of the elections. You add all those things together, it does suggest there is some direct link to al-Qaida leadership. How high up it goes remains to be seen."
B-b-b-b-but the NY times said that bin Laden is planning the thing and Tom Ridge says he isn't sure how high up in al-Qaida the threat goes. Is OBL not the top guy anymore? hmmmm.
Sibel Edmonds would be the one who could decode the chatter but she has been silenced by the government. She is the one who knows for a fact that the US had intelligence and information about the terror attack on 9/11.
So just to be on the safe side.....
We should get ready for a July Surprise?: "...the administration significantly increased its pressure on Pakistan to kill or capture Osama bin Laden, his deputy, Ayman Al Zawahiri, or the Taliban's Mullah Mohammed Omar, all of whom are believed to be hiding in the lawless tribal areas of Pakistan....
This public pressure would be appropriate, even laudable, had it not been accompanied by an unseemly private insistence that the Pakistanis deliver these high-value targets (HVTs) before Americans go to the polls in November. The Bush administration denies it has geared the war on terrorism to the electoral calendar."
And we believe them. We're ready in NY for an August invasion.
Please also note that the color coded terror alert has not been raised to orange this time. It turns out that it costs too much for the government to change the alert status color when they are just making bogus claims to take the focus away from other news.
Let's not forget the immortal words of our leader:
"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him."
- G.W. Bush, 9/13/01
"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02
"I am truly not that concerned about him."
- G.W. Bush, when asked about bin Laden's whereabouts, 3/13/02
