fear of a warm planet

New Scientist has a piece on what could happen to populating patterns, relocation of civilization, 'culling' of the human species, et al.

 

And all one needs to do is raise temps by 4 Celsius, add water, and stir.

 

Is it sensationalistic?  Well, I think we're actually beyond that since this climate change situation is well under way.  I personally think the sensationalism is necessary if it gets people's attention.

 

Anyway, here's the link to How to survive the coming century.  There's stuff in here that I agree with, and other stuff I'd call bullshit on from the get-go.  (One commenter quipped that some actual survival tips might've been helpful, and darned if that isn't a good point.)
