Just a little too much about Rush that you may not want to know

From Wikipedia… with a grain of salt…

Rush Hudson Limbaugh III (born January 12, 1951)
Limbaugh was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri

Early life

Limbaugh was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the son of Mildred Carolyn "Millie" (née Armstrong), originally from Searcy, Arkansas, and Rush Hudson Limbaugh, Jr. His father is of German descent and his mother is of Scottish descent. His father was a lawyer and a World War II fighter pilot who served in the China-Burma-India theater. The name "Rush" was chosen for his grandfather to honor the maiden name of family member Edna Rush. His family is filled with a number of lawyers including his grandfather, father and his brother David. His uncle, Stephen N. Limbaugh, Sr. is a Ronald Reagan appointed federal judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and his cousin, Stephen N. Limbaugh, Jr., is Judge on the Supreme Court of Missouri. Rush Limbaugh, Sr., Limbaugh's grandfather, was a Missouri prosecutor, judge, special commissioner and served on Missouri's state House of Representatives from 1930 to 1932. Limbaugh's grandfather was very well respected as one of the "patriarchs" of the Cape Girardeau community, and longtime president of the Missouri Historical Society. Rush, Sr., died at age 104, and was still a practicing attorney at the time of his death. The Federal Courthouse in Cape Girardeau is named for Limbaugh's grandfather. Limbaugh began his career in radio as a teenager in 1967 in his hometown of Cape Girardeau, using the name Rusty Sharpe.

Education

Limbaugh graduated from Cape Central High School, in 1969. His father and mother wanted him to attend college, so he enrolled at Southeast Missouri State University. He dropped out after two semesters and one summer; according to his mother, "he flunked everything", even a modern ballroom dancing class. As she told a reporter in 1992, "He just didn't seem interested in anything except radio."

Draft status

Limbaugh's birthdate was ranked as 175 in the Vietnam War draft lottery. No one was drafted above 125. He was classified as "1-Y" (later reclassified "4-F") due to either a football knee injury or a diagnosis of Pilonidal disease.

1970s

After dropping out of college, Limbaugh moved to McKeesport, Pennsylvania. There he became a Top 40 music radio disc jockey on station WIXZ, a station that covered the Pittsburgh area. In October 1972, he broadcast over Pittsburgh station KQV under the name "Jeff Christie".

Deafness

Rush Limbaugh has described himself as being "100%, totally deaf". In 2001, he was diagnosed with a rare Autoimmune inner ear disease (AIED), which, in the span of three months, left his right ear completely deaf and left ear severely deaf. On December 19, 2001, doctors at the House Ear Clinic in Los Angeles were able to successfully restore a measure of his hearing through a surgical procedure known as a cochlear implant surgery. Limbaugh received a Clarion CII Bionic Ear (Maier). In 2005, Limbaugh was forced to undergo "tuning" due to an "eye twitch", an apparent side-effect of cochlear implants.

No mention of marital status or even interest in the “OPPOSITE SEX.”
Maybe that explains his misogyny…or is there another, hidden reason? Some say there is an "acquired" psychological trait to men given names of previous feminine relatives. Of course, others don't. You can decide for yourselves.

And don't put too much stock in that "football knee" injury that may have helped keep him out of Vietnam!

There may be inaccuracies in the report as evidenced by his supposed employment as a radio broadcaster or, as some report, “music DJ” in 1972 at Radio Station KQV, which had been an AM/FM station until 1969. While he was a DJ at WIXZ (a low power, AM Radio Station), which, according to the author, COVERED (maybe 3 square miles of) the Pittsburgh Area (which would be like standing on a third floor outdoor balcony and shouting news or singing), he was not at all popular with other DJs and listeners! Then KQV split and became WDVE FM while KQV stayed AM and became talk radio. So how he was a music DJ then may be a Limbaughnian fabrication as may be much of his other life, but the talk Radio portion may have been an impetus. KDKA - AM, the nation's first commercial radio station became a right wing, radio talk shill just after that time! Curious!

There's no mention of his ego (that many of us heard of) which may have been a cause of his leaving WIXZ.

The part about the rest of his family may enlighten us about a psychological side of R. Hudson (which is how I'll refer to him from now on whenever the need arises). Seems everyone else was quite successful…and intelligent, at least according to the article. But somehow R. HUDSON didn’t quite make the grade as evidenced by his educational short comings, which he makes painfully clear in his rocket science profession today but which are ignored and/or accepted by the type who listen to him.

There’s more to read if you have the stomach for it.. But to add one last thing; HUDSON? Maybe he is like a 'Rock'...since he's BEHIND every Republican! Cheap shot? Yeah! But one he would make.
