guns and religion, huh?

So, Ms. Palin pissed and moaned at the Obama comment (from eons ago) about small-town people clinging to guns and religion. I had the great displeasure of listening to this whining when my clock-radio went off about fifteen minutes ago and they were recapping from last night on NPR.

Well, explain this, Ms. Palin. This is from her church. Three months ago. (I apologize for not knowing how to embed YouTube things here, you'll have to go to the site).

Here she is talking about praying for a pipeline. Among other things.

Public speaker she is not.

UPDATE FROM LIZ: You can read more about this at Huffington Post with quotes from her speech.

"Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God," she exhorted the congregants. "That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan."
"I think God's will has to be done in unifying people and companies to get that gas line built, so pray for that," she said.
