Testosterone Alert

If I lived in a country that was being threatened with war, especially from Israel and the US, the world's biggest bullies, I'd wouldn't be surprised if the military decided to do some missile testing. In fact, I'd be relieved. I think. Not that I would expect my country to win such a war, but at least it could go down fighting.

Anyway, with all the drumbeats for war with Iran, they did what would be expected from a country on the verge of being attacked, they tested their missiles. The US got its panties in a twist and warned them not to.

Speaking from Japan where President George Bush has attended the G8 summit, White House spokesman Gordon Johndroe said the Iranians should "refrain from further missile tests if they truly seek to gain the trust of the world".

"The Iranian regime only furthers the isolation of the Iranian people from the international community when it engages in this sort of activity," he said.
Drivel. The article states that the missiles could reach as far as Israel, Turkey, Afghanistan or Pakistan. This caught my eye because the US signed a deal with the Czech government to put up missile radar base in the Czech republic and 10 missile interceptors in Poland, much to the consternation of the Russians as well as the citizens of the Czech Republic and probably most thinking people in Europe and Russia. Iranian missiles can't reach that far. What's the rush? Who are really defending against or are they just making money for war profiteers?
