"There will be a cloud of smoke above Little Rock soon - of burned food, of anger and of shame that the world's richest nation couldn't organise a p**s up in a brewery and lets Americans starve while they arrogantly observe petty regulations." The Mirror
The US sometimes sends provisions to other countries to help the poor and the starving and then we read how the government there keeps the donations away from the people. We get so infuriated when we read those stories and think how awful it must be to have such a terrible leaders. Well the US must have taken lessons from those oppressive governments.
The UK sent 400,000 ration packs to the starving people of New Orleans. It is supposedly the same NATO approved rations that UK soldiers eat in Iraq. Even US soldiers are entitled to eat the same rations. The FDA ruled that the food was unfit for human consumption and wants to burn the food. Spain, Israel and Italy also sent food and drink but the USDA or the FDA (they are blaming each other) declared the food unfit, yet it seems that there are regulations relating to the import and export of meat and that is the issue. Even though people are starving, NOW they are sticking to their little rules? There were supposedly 70 huge pallets of vegetarian meals and those were released to the starving vegetarians (?). Israeli relief agencies are furious that thousands of gallons of pear juice are to be destroyed because it has been judged unfit.
So what's the story here? That we'd rather have our own people starve to death rather than feed them food that others have eaten and are still miraculously alive? Are they fucking kidding me? I don't think that British soldiers in Iraq are dying from the damn food. And I sincerely doubt that the republican investigative committee gives a shit about this.
Hey Bush supporters, do you feel safe yet?
