Who's Your Daddy?

If I have to pick a daddy out of the 2 last night, then John Kerry is to be my new daddy. Regarding the surrogate daddy of the past 4 years: No one wants to hear their daddy complaining about all the hard work he has to do to raise me and protect me. Yawn. That's his job. He shouldn't have sex with my mother if he didn't want the job. It's a cop out to complain how hard it's been to be a daddy for me. That's no excuse. My old daddy has been more concerned about not being kicked out of the house than actually doing anything daddy-like for my welfare and the welfare of the whole neighborhood.

My new daddy stands up straight, doesn't make faces when other people are talking, answers questions directly and doesn't smirk. My new daddy has great manners and doesn't interrupt the old daddy when he's speaking. I could be proud of my new daddy when he goes to meet with other daddies. I won't have to cringe in embarrassment wondering if he'll revert to his embarrassing cowboy ways in front of world leaders. My new daddy will be able to speak from his heart and not from a list of daddy-like talking points which mean nothing to me. I want to feel safe. I pick the new, taller, straighter, more eloquent daddy.
